Tuition and Financial Aid
Affording KUA
We know that an independent school education is a significant investment. Our goal is to welcome students who embody the school’s core values, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. We encourage any family in need of assistance to apply for financial aid. A family’s share of the cost of a KUA education is determined through thoughtful consideration of a number of factors and not based on income level alone.

Financial-Aid Deadlines
The due date for financial aid applications is February 1. While we will continue to accept applications after the February deadline, it is strongly recommended you submit your financial aid application prior to February 1. Families will be notified of their financial aid awards in conjunction with their admission decision on March 10.
KUA uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

Additional Costs
Athletics: $190 plus any additional fees for off-campus sports and activities
Dormitory Fee: $100 deposit for each boarding student, refunded at the end of the year
Health Insurance: KUA requires all students to carry health insurance.
Academic Support Services: Optional one-on-one and small group academic-support services -

Boarding Student: $77,200
Day Student: $48,700
International Student Fee: $3,500
2024-2025 base tuition rates include the cost of textbooks, meals and housing for boarding students. -
Tuition Refund Plan
All families are automatically enrolled in the Tuition Refund Plan to protect your tuition commitment against unforeseen withdrawals or dismissals.
Financial Aid Determination
Financial aid decisions are release electronically in conjunction with the admission decision. After financial aid deadlines, applications and financial aid will be considered on a rolling basis. If you have questions regarding financial aid after the February 1, please contact the Director of Financial Aid.
