兩校升學伯仲之間。我個人比較喜歡小一些的Groton，這樣規模的學校大家很容易相互都認識，更象一個大家庭。同時，還因為它的師生比要高出一倍，人均捐款亦是如此。網上查看到一個有關這兩校對比的評論，我覺得有些道理，附于下供參考：

Do you want to go to a school where you can play sport to the varsity level no problem or do you want to go to a school with tons of PG's where each varsity sport has 5+ players going to D1 sports in college.
Do you want to go to a large prep school or a small school .
Do you want to go to a school near NYC or Boston.
Both schools have excellent college matriculation, rigorous academics and great art programs.
If you are in the top 5% academically of either school you can probably go to any college you want.“

同樣的精英學校，最大的不同之處就是Groton小而精，學校更加的exclusive, 而Lawrenceville更加大而廣。看孩子更喜歡社區感強些，還是可以淹沒人海中更顯自由些。我個人更喜歡更純粹一些的文化教育中心的新英格蘭地區。至于大學升學，可以參考各自如下的官網，比較全面：

Lawrenceville! Groton 太小了， 而且偏文科。孩子大部分有家庭背景，不容易融入。

就Groton 升學來說，也是有一定的baised. 也是因為家長的特殊背景，legacy 和connection 升學在groton 更多些。

Groton：小而精。錄取最難！學生學習競爭比較cut throat。但是相互支持合作很好。師生關系緊密！被認為是Harvard的feeder school。代表人物有羅斯福總統。
Lawrenceville：中等規模。比較平衡。學生競爭激烈。被認為是Princeton的feeder school。代表人物有阿里巴巴的蔡崇信。

這倆個學校都是頂級學校，都很好。 有各種特點和缺點。學業競爭強度差不多。不過Groton學生之間的相互支持好點。文化方面，Lawrenceville有不少普林斯頓當地的孩子，主導了學校的活動并且抱團。不如Groton學生之間的相互支持。另外Groton由于人少（一個年級才80來個人），學生參加各種社團和體育團隊并有leadership的機會比較多。 當然這個優點在另外一方面又變成缺點，開課門數沒有Lawrenceville多。申請大學Groton稍強。2個學校都有legacy的問題。 另外Groton雖然人少，基金會規模幾乎和Lawrenceville一樣大。資源足夠！

你家小朋友喜歡文科，又喜歡理科。也就是說比較均衡。 個人建議選 Groton!
