機構會幫助美高的喜好以及不同學校的核心側重，來幫助學生來潤色文書。但是一般不會直接幫助學生代筆，因為學生需要熟記自己的文書，防止在面試的時候出現“文書信息和面試信息不一樣”的情況。

完成所有的文書的時間，根據學生選擇的學校而定。一般來說，長則10天，短則4-5天就可以；不過之前的準備工作的時間會長一些，因為學生要回憶自己的經歷，然后顧問也需要看看哪些經歷可以用，哪些不必用。

文書是美高申請中不可或缺的一部分，但是一定要明白一點，那就是文書絕不是美高申請中最重要的一環。很多學校會認為“一個13、4歲的學生是不可能寫出特別出彩的文章的”，所以對于文書來說，更關鍵的還是里面的內容以及內容所反映出的孩子的品質，而不是其中天花爛墜的語句。

千萬不要因為過于專注文書，而放棄了對與“面試”這一環節的準備。
